The Color Piano Playbook Series introduces young children to the skill of reading and playing piano music through games, worksheets and other activities.
Notes begin in rainbow-colors, and as the student becomes familiar with the note positioning on the staff, black-and-white music is introduced. The method and explanations are simple and child-friendly, so even parents who know little about music can help their preschooler to play. There are also free play-along tracks for students to play along with once they have mastered the tunes. So grab some colored pencils, a dice, game board counters and a piano, and let the fun begin! |

The notes are introduced one at a time beginning with middle C for the right hand. The 1 above the first note reminds the student to use finger 1 to play middle C. The middle C is red to match the "red key" on the piano, so use finger 1 to play this key. When you see the Rest Symbol, stop playing and say "Rest", and then move on to play the next note. Try playing through C Song. Click the player below to hear what it should sound like. |
