Try It

1.

Print colored strips here  and slot them behind the piano keys near the middle of the piano keyboard. Match the colors on the strips with the colored stars shown on this diagram.

2.
The notes are introduced one at a time beginning with right hand Red Note.

The Red Note has the number 1 on it. So use finger 1 (your thumb) to play the "red"  piano key.

When you see the zig-zag rest symbol,  stop playing and say "Freeze" or "Rest", and then move on to play the next note.

Try playing through Red Note. Click the player below  to hear what it should sound like.

3.
Once you can comfortably play Red Note from start to end, you are ready to try it with the play-along track. Click on the video to listen to Kayla as she plays with the play-along track.

4.
Now you try. Click on the player. Start playing along after the 4-beat count-in.
